| 6:45 | Halong Transfer service tour guide Pick you up at your hotel in Halong city and depart to Ninh Binh. |
| 11:00 – 11:30 | Arrive at Hoa Lu, the ancient capital. In Hoa Lu, there are 2 temples built on the site of the ancient royal palace of Dinh and Le Dynasties. The temple is now dedicated to worshiping the Dinh and Le Kings. The visit offers you a chance to learn more about Vietnam in the feudal time. |
| 12:30 | Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant in Tam Coc. |
| 13:30 | After finishing your lunch, walk to the harbor nearby to take a boat trip to Ngo Dong River in Tam Coc. The sampan boats are rowed by the locals using both hands and legs. The boat trip will leisurely take you through 3 spectacular grottos with numerous limestone karsts on the way. If you travel during the harvest season, you will be able to witness the iconic image of Tam Coc with golden rice fields running endlessly along both sides of the river. In total, the duration of the boat trip ranges from 1n1/2 to 2 hours. Optionally, you can also join the group to ride a bicycle around the countryside watching the local farmers and water buffaloes working on the rice fields. Note: It is a custom to give a small tip to the boat rower at the end of the boat ride. |
